Abstract
Equivalent conicity is a very important parameter of wheel rail contact in rail transit. It directly reflects the wavelength of geometric hunting motion of wheel set, and is related to the driving safety of vehicle and the comfort of passengers. It is very necessary to calculate the equivalent conicity between wheel and rail, evaluate the contact regularly. Firstly, the calculation formulas, principles and methods of UIC 915 integral method, linear regression method, harmonic quasi linearization method, simple method and probability method are described. The LM wheel tread and 60 kg/m rail are calculated and the differences between various algorithms of equivalent conicity are compared. Using MATLAB to compile a set of software, input the wheel and rail profile and related parameters. Then calculate the equivalent conicity and wheel rail geometric matching parameters of various algorithms conveniently and quickly, which provides convenience for engineers to manage the wheel and rail profile.
