Abstract
With the continuous expansion of urban scale and the improvement of urban construction level in China, the demand for urban road lighting is constantly increasing. Taking a green, environmentally friendly, and energy-saving development path will become the only way for urban street light renovation in the future. In recent years, the street lamp reconstruction in Jiading District of Shanghai has achieved remarkable progress in the improvement of light environment quality, conservation of electricity consumption and other aspects. Based on the case analysis of the street lamp reconstruction of Defu Road, and the comparison of the high-pressure sodium lamp and LED street lamp before and after the reconstruction, it was found that that the average illumination and uniformity of the street lamp had increased by 80.1% and 50.0% respectively, and the energy consumption had decreased by 58%, highlighting the important role of LED street lamps in achieving the carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals.
