    Progress of Graphene Modified Silicon Anode Materials for Lithium-Ion Batteries

    • Silicon has a high lithium storage capacity, and it is considered by the market to be one of the most promising anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. However, in the process of charging and discharging lithium-ion batteries, the volume of silicon changes significantly (>300%) Moreover, the conductivity is limited, which causes the capacity of the silicon electrode to decrease. Graphene is a two-dimensional material with high specific surface area, high electrical conductivity and excellent chemical/mechanical stability. It has many advantages in improving the conductivity of silicon materials and improving the performance of lithium-ion batteries. The preparation methods and material properties of graphene-modified silicon materials for improving the capacity and electrode life of silicon electrodes are reviewed and compared. The development of silicon/graphene composite materials is prospected.
