    Rare Earth Crystal Materials and Their Applications

    • 摘要: 稀土是我國重要的戰略資源🧎🏻‍➡️,在永磁體⬜️、合金、催化劑、石油精煉🧆、精細拋光、發光材料🍆、玻璃陶瓷等高新技術領域具有重要的應用。稀土晶體是一類重要的高端光學材料🙍🏿‍♂️,是指稀土元素可以完整占據結晶學結構中某一格點的晶體,作為核心工作物質在激光技術與電離輻射探測技術中得到了廣泛應用🧑‍🍼。以稀土激光晶體、稀土閃爍晶體、稀土倍頻晶體、稀土單晶光纖為代表,綜述了近年來面向不同應用領域的高端稀土晶體材料在組成設計與性能優化方面的研究進展。在生長技術方面,結晶生長的化學鍵合理論能夠為多尺度稀土晶體生長提供精細化的關鍵因素控製技術,有利於獲得高品質稀土晶體材料。

       

      Abstract: Rare earth serves as an important strategic resource in China. It has wide applications in high-tech fields of permanent magnets, alloys, catalysts, petroleum refining, fine polishing, luminescent materials, glass ceramics and so on. Rare earth crystal is a kind of important high-end optical materials. Rare earth crystals refer to crystals in which rare earth elements can completely occupy a certain lattice in the crystallographic structure. As the key operation materials, rare earth crystals have been widely used in laser technology and ionizing radiation detection technology. Taking rare earth laser crystals, rare earth scintillating crystals, rare earth frequency doubling crystals and rare earth single crystal fibers as examples, the research progress in both composition design and performance optimization of high-end rare earth crystal materials in different applications were reviewed. For advanced growth techniques, the chemical bonding theory of single crystal growth would provide optimal growth parameters for multi-scale rare earth crystals, which could help us to obtain high-quality rare earth crystal materials.
